NEC DB-500 : This is a good second phone or a phone for new users who want a basic phone

The phone itself is quite light weight and pretty slim for a cheap phone, but the phone does live up to what it is made for, and that is making and recieving calls and sending text messages. The menu is not exciting either, but is near enough the same as another phone by a different company. Scrolling through the menu to change things is easy enough to understand, but can be confusing at times. The leather case is like all others, clear to see the screen, using the key pads, and reading the screen. Making a conversation through the phone as well is also pretty clear. This is a good second phone or a phone for new users who want a basic phone. Stands for 500 Decibels when it rings.

The Siemens C30 : Has the advantages of the ease-of-use

The Siemens C30 has the advantages of the ease-of-use, light weight and small size. Nonetheless, it lacks many features, heavy, and the screen is narrow. In general, it does not show many benefits for users and they are seeking for some other better ones.Siemens has finally entrenched itself as an important player in the market for experienced users, the Siemens C30 is slender and not very compact handset at 124 x 44 x 24 mm and 110 grams. The black and white display is ideal for text, messages and simple pictures like logos and picture massages. The display resolution 2 x 16 chars is not very high but is normal for low class phone.
Audio quality on the C30 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 600 mAh NI-MH battery is rated for 4 hours talk time or 200 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 90 minutes.

Motorola A830 : Motorola's first 3G phone available in the UK

The Motorola A830 was Motorola's first 3G phone available in the UK and has now been replaced by the A835. The A830 has a large colour screen, ideal for all the video and camera functions available, although with just 4096 colours it's not the sharpest display around.
Using the high-quality digital / video camera, you can record photos, video and audio to play back later or to send in a video or photo message. You can also use the built-in video player to download and play video and audio clips. Please note though, that unlike most other 3G phones, you cannot make video calls using the Motorola A830, a serious shortcoming in a 3G phone.
The Motorola A830 also has Java games, polyphonic ringtones, mp3 player, Bluetooth™ Infra-red & USB connectivity, and tri-band, making it usable worldwide.

Panasonic X68/X77 : A sporty and semi-ruggedized phone

Panasonic X77 for the Chinese market.Seems cool and very impressive. The Panasonic X68, is meant to be a 'Sporty' phone, don't expect fancy multimedia and features. Think of it as racket to your tennis game. Works well as a 'Phone' that you can bring along to your favourite carefree outdoor activities. Well put together, rubberised parts that would happily take some bumps on the ground.

Motorola Accompli 009 : comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browsere

This world GSM phone features color display, QWERTY keyboard, GPRS high-speed data, speakerphone, wireless Internet, E-Mail client, PIM functions, voice recording and dialing.Motorola has given the Accompli a “clam shell” design – smooth on the outside, open it to reveal a miniature keyboard and color screen. Immediately apparent is that the Accompli has no integrated ear and mouthpiece for phone calls. Instead, a separate “hands free” ear piece must be used. This I like. I don’t believe wireless devices should be beholden to antique phone receiver form factors. But if you don’t like carrying and using a separate ear piece, this might not be for you.
The Motorola Accompli 009 is a 2001 model mobile phone which is compatible with Rogers Wireless and Microcell Fido. It operates on the frequencies of GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, For this phone to be able to operate on Rogers Wireless or Microcell Fido, if not purchased at the respective retailers, one must make sure this phone does not have a sim-lock and ensure it is unlocked. Additionally, if you are looking to use this cell phone on T-Mobile, AT&T or other USA GSM carriers, there may also be no carrier-specific sim-lock.
